Association Meeting Guidelines

Association Meetings are meetings of the general membership. Unit PTAs should have a minimum of 3 association meetings a year. Check your Bylaws for more information about Association Meetings.

Association Meeting #1 – August/September

  • assn-meetingsReview and Approve Minutes of the previous Association Meeting
  • Review and Approve all Treasurer’s Reports since the previous Association Meeting
  • Adopt Year-End Audit
  • Approve Annual Financial Report
  • Approve any Contracts (Eg: contracts with fundraising companies)
  • Adopt Calendar for the year
  • Adopt Budget for the year

Association Meting #2 – January/February

  • Review and Approve Minutes of the previous Association Meeting
  • Review and Approve all Treasurer’s Reports since the previous Association Meeting
  • Adopt Mid-Year Audit
  • Approve any Contracts (Eg: contracts with fundraising companies)
  • Adopt Mid-Year Calendar revisions (if any)
  • Adopt Mid-Year Budget revisions (if any)
  • Elect Nominating Committee

Association Meeting #3 – March/April

  • Review and Approve Minutes of the previous Association Meeting
  • Review and Approve all Treasurer’s Reports since the previous Association Meeting
  • Approve any Contracts (Eg: contracts with fundraising companies)
  • Elect PTA officers for the new year
